Bathroom ventilation fans

Bad planning and improper installation of bathroom ventilation fans can cause a huge amount of headaches. The fans must discharge outside the attic area.Fans that discharge into the attic can cause mold and damage to your roof sheeting. The fans and you lighting should not be wired so that they are turned off when the GFCI protected outlet is tripped. The best idea i have seen was having the fans wired into a occupancy switch that is set so if a family member forgets to turn the fan off your warm or cold air is not sent outside the home at 50 cubic feet per minute.
